Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Update: Part of November SNAP benefits will be delivered based on new direction from the federal government. The benefit amount and distribution date are not yet known.

➕The federal government is requiring Tennessee and other states to recalculate the amount of benefits that will be delivered to SNAP recipients. If you participate in SNAP, you will likely receive a different benefit amount for the next distribution of SNAP benefits.

➕Recalculating benefit amounts requires a different process. This process will take time complete and TDHS cannot yet provide an estimated delivery date for SNAP benefits.

➕Updates are ongoing and there are still many unknowns. As new information becomes available, new details will be shared on the TDHS website at https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/federal-shutdown.html.
