HAPPY BIRTHDAY "BIG MAMA" EMMA MOSLEY JOHNSON and Myself.

I am my father's first child. We've always been very close. It has always felt so special to have been delivered by my Great-Grandmother Rachel Ausby-Mosley, Community Midwife; on my Grandmother Emma Mosley-Johnson's Birthday (July 22), as she assisted her mother bringing me into the world; in my Mother's bed, at my Mother's house. These skilled women were my Father Jimmie Bert's, mother and grandmother. My Father said, that my It's very special to share a birthday with your grandmother. I miss celebrating with her, as she went to Glory in 1999.

That why the month of July has always been so special to me. There are so many family members birthdays this month, including my grandfather's, James B. Johnson, "Big Daddy," (July 15, 1910). Daddy said, that "Big Daddy" insisted on going there too, and waiting patiently with him on the front porch, for me to be born. The Third Weekend in July, has also traditionally been when we celebrated the Mosley Family and Friend's Day, (Our Family Reunion) in Galveston, TX at Shiloh AME Church, the Mosley Family church. This event was extremely enjoyable to my grandmother, Emma, which I shared in her joy.

Now, this Third Weekend in July is somewhat bitter/sweet, since we buried my beloved Father, Jimmie Bert, on this past Saturday, July 20th. The month of July and the Third Weekend, will never be the same. But I'm going to work and pray for myself to regain my strength and energy, to lift myself back up, and to continue to CELEBRATE the rich legacies and lives of those ancestors before me.🤩🥰🙏

We are so Blessed to Celebrate this day, as God has allowed our Father to complet another milestone, to see another Birthday. He has been in the hospital for the past 3-1/2 weeks. Slowly, but shorely, he's getting better. Thanks to great family and friends that have been praying for his recovery. Glory to God!!!🙏
