🔥🐻 Fire Safety Week with the Good Neighbear! 🐻🔥

We had such a fun morning visiting Hive Academy with the Good Neighbear! ❤️

We spent time with the children reading a story about Sparky the Fire Dog and talking about ways they can help keep themselves and their families safe from fires. 🚒🐶📚

A huge thank you to Julie and the wonderful staff at Hive Academy for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of your Fire Safety Week activities. We love getting out into our community, spending time with the kids, and making learning about safety FUN!
And, of course, the Good Neighbear loved all the smiles, hugs, and high-fives! 🐻❤️

We are incredibly grateful to each of our special visitors for taking time to invest in our little bees.

Three days. Three special visits. SO much learning. 🐝✨

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the 2,977 souls whose lives were taken far too soon. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary people who ran toward danger while others were running away. We remember the families who said goodbye that morning without knowing it would be forever.

And we remember the world before September 11, 2001—a world that changed in a matter of hours.

Twenty-five years is a long time. Children who lost parents are now grown. Parents who lost children have carried an unimaginable absence through decades of birthdays, holidays, and ordinary days. Yet somehow, their loved ones remain with us—in photographs, in stories, in memories, and in the quiet moments when we stop and remember.

May we never let the passage of time turn that day into simply a chapter in a history book.

Today, we remember the lives, not just the tragedy.
We remember the courage, not just the fear.
We remember the love, not just the loss.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

September 11, 2001 — forever remembered.

Keeping our community safe this coming holiday season! Stay safe while you celebrate our nations 250th birthday!

The South Montgomery County Fire Department is launching a community-wide initiative this summer to promote personal fireworks safety and proper disposal practices.

Inspired by the historic model of community firefighting, we invite you to join a modern-day Fireworks Bucket Brigade, a team effort to safely dispose of personal fireworks and prevent fires in our community.

The initiative encourages people to soak spent personal fireworks overnight. This simple step prevents trash, garage, and home fires caused by improper disposal. Improper disposal of personal fireworks is a leading cause of fireworks-related fires. This year’s buckets are sponsored by Kyle Sherburne State Farm
