As the storm approaches, please take care of yourself, your family, and your neighbors. 🩵

Take a little time to secure your home and anything outside that could be picked up or damaged by strong winds. Bring in outdoor furniture, trash cans, decorations, and other loose items when it’s safe to do so.

If you’re able, fill up your vehicle with gas and pick up a few extra snacks, water, medications, and other essentials you may need. Once conditions begin to worsen, please stay off the roads whenever possible and give emergency crews the space they need to work safely.

Most importantly, never approach or drive over a downed power line. Always assume it is live, keep your distance, and report it to the appropriate authorities or utility company.

Please check on your loved ones and neighbors, especially anyone who may need a little extra help preparing. Things can be replaced, people cannot.

Stay safe, stay prepared, and look out for one another. 🩵
