Many factors were out of my control, but our financial preparedness set us up for success, now I want to help others. Growing up I thought I would follow my mother's lead (a medic in the Airforce) and go into medicine. It wasn't until my late teens I realized I don't have the stomach for it and needed to change course. Hindsight, having been the type of person who took an additional math course as
an extra-curricular maybe I should've realized finance was going to be my path, but I only knew I wanted to answer the question "how can I make a positive impact in my community?" Everyone has an idea of how money affects them but not everyone has a plan or strategy to achieve their goals and plan for the unexpected.
