ROSIE - Reaching Out to Support, Inspire, and Empower
ROSIE began in September of 2018 when three female leaders at Elephant Insurance, all with different levels of tenure and experience, all met for dinner to discuss their experiences in leadership. Very quickly it became clear that there was a need to support female leaders, and to inspire women to vie for roles in leadership.
ROSIE stands for Reaching out to Support, Inspire and Empower. The goal of ROSIE is to provide support and encourage empowerment of current female leaders, as well as to inspire females to apply for leadership roles.
ROSIE coordinates monthly symROSIEums where speakers come and speak to the staff of Elephant Insurance. Topics have included erasing institutional bias, overcoming Imposter Syndrome, knowing ones value, and networking among others. Each speaker is selected based on their community impact, history as a leader, and journey.
