Medicare is a great foundation for healthcare in retirement, but it doesn’t cover everything.

Some common gaps people are often surprised by include:

Prescription drug costs

Dental, vision, and hearing care

Long-term care services

Out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and copays

Everyone’s situation is different, so it’s important to understand how your coverage works for you.

If you’d like a simple, no-obligation review of your Medicare coverage, I’m happy to help. Feel free to message me for more information.

Retirement planning isn’t just one thing—it often comes down to two important pieces.

Income planning is about setting up your money to help support your lifestyle in retirement, from monthly expenses to the things you enjoy.
Protection planning focuses on helping protect what you’ve worked hard to build, including planning for things like market ups and downs, healthcare costs, and the unexpected.

Here along the Gulf Coast, retirement is about enjoying life at a slower pace. A thoughtful retirement approach looks at both income and protection working together.

If you’d like a second set of eyes on your current retirement strategy, I offer a complimentary, no-obligation review. It’s simply a conversation to help you better understand where you stand. Feel free to message me if you’d like to learn more.

When I moved to Pensacola in 2022, I had no idea I’d end up loving this work as much as I do.

Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time getting to know locals and retirees—quickly realizing I have a real knack for explaining retirement and Medicare topics in a way that actually makes sense (without all the confusing jargon).

Pensacola has a way of making you slow down and enjoy life a little more—whether that’s a walk by the water or passing spots like Graffiti Bridge that remind you how much personality this city has. I love serving retirees here because this community is full of people who’ve worked hard their whole lives and just want to enjoy what’s next with confidence and peace of mind.

If you’re nearing retirement or already there and have questions, I’m always happy to help—feel free to reach out or follow along here for helpful, no-pressure education.

Vintage humans, this is one of those “please don’t scroll past this” moments.

I’m sharing this article because it highlights something I see all the time:
👉 retirement healthcare costs are rising faster than most people expect — and they don’t politely wait for permission before showing up.

What often surprises vintage humans isn’t that healthcare costs exist…
It’s how long they last, how unpredictable they are, and how quickly they can chip away at an otherwise solid retirement plan.

This isn’t about panic or fear.
It’s about awareness — because awareness gives you options.

As you read this, ask yourself:
• Would my current plan absorb these costs?
• Or would it force uncomfortable trade-offs later?

Clarity over confusion, always.
