Seasons greetings, merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, and happy festivus! ;)

I hope your holidays are a peaceful respite from a tumultuous year, filled with the warmth of family and holiday cheer. I know how hard 2020 has been for all of us. Let's use the last week of this year to prepare for a 2021 that sees us all growing and thriving together.

In the coming days I'll be posting about how I'm planning to tackle 2021 right out of the gate. But for now, today is a day to rest, share our gratitude for the present moment, and share a most unusual holiday season with the ones we love.

Warmest wishes to you all!
-Josh

I believe that the key to growing your business, and therefore your income in real estate, is leading with purpose, or a heart of service to the community.

You are a citizen of your community, and a citizen of the world. As a citizen real estate entrepreneur, you have incredible potential not only for building a profitable business and realizing your goals, but also for making a positive impact in your community.

For example, I sold my first property- a mobile home in a nice family park- on Christmas Eve to a single mom with bad credit, going through a difficult divorce, who had been sleeping with her two small children on a friend’s couch. When I handed her the keys, she broke down in tears, saying that she had never owned anything that was just hers before. I could have sold that unit to anyone, but I wanted to make a difference in someone’s life, and I did.

I believe that as citizen real estate entrepreneurs, we have the power to not only build successful real estate businesses, but also to change the world for the better. And we can do it in a time when income inequality, housing affordability, community cohesion, and family financial stability are all in crisis. You are uniquely positioned to make a positive difference by investing through a lens of purpose.

How are you making (or planning to make) a positive impact in your community via your real estate investing?

Green just didn’t suit this cliffside Los Angeles duplex. Multiple shades of green cast a beat-up-motel vibe over what was once a chic pad built for an advertising exec in the 1960s. So owner Chris Karlen decided to ditch the moldy greens and went for more of a Mondrian look, painting it white and p…
