🚔⚖️ In Custody ⚖️ 🚔

Today at approximately 12:30pm, our officers responded to a residence in Belmont attempting to locate Travis Kirby. Kirby had outstanding Felony drug warrants, multiple Domestic Violence Protection Order Violations, and was known to be armed and dangerous.

As officers approached, Kirby fled from officers on foot. A Belmont K9 was utilized to track Kirby who was found attempting to conceal himself in the Catawba River. Marine units were requested to retrieve Kirby from the river and was taken into custody. Kirby is currently being held for extradition.

We would like to thank Mount Holly Police Department, Gaston County Police, Gaston County Sheriff's Office, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for their assistance in apprehending Kirby.
