Please be careful with unsolicited phone calls and seminars concerning your Medicare insurance. There are a lot of people out there who want to take control of your personal business and make changes without legitimate authorization from you. In order for them to legally call you, they must first have a signed Scope of Sales Appointment form signed by you that you requested. Electronic signature is allowed, but you have to request the contact from them. If they are cold calling you, the call violates the federal law.

If you don't sign up for Medicare at the right time or you fail to sign up for a Prescription Drug plan, supplement, or a Medicare Advantage plan at the right time, you could incur penalties or other problems that could cost you.
