Come support our small towns Park Board & build something suitable for all the youngins❣️📢

We need you! We’re looking to add a few volunteers to our Fundraising Committee to help make our dream of a new & inclusive playground a success!

We’re looking for people with a background or interest in:

📞 Community Outreach - This role is community facing. It would include speaking to business’ & individuals. While also helping us brainstorm & bring to life ideas to help make this all possible.

📝 Grant Writing - We’re starting the process of researching grants & funding to make this project possible. We need individuals that have a background in securing funding for non profits preferably, but we’re not picky! We just need people that know the ins & outs of the application process.

🗣️ Communications - This role would include partnering with an existing member of our team to help manage social media, design brochures, flyers, write letters, etc! If you are handy in Canva, like being creative, or are good with words - we’d love to have you!

We typically meet the second Tuesday of every month at 4pm, but keep in contact frequently. If that time slot wouldn’t work for you, but you’d still like to volunteer we can make it work!

If you’re interested to learn more or want to join our next meeting - message the Parks Board page or reach Tanna directly at 812-716-0009.

Thank you! 😊

Everybody wants a good price.

They should.

But when it comes to protecting a family, price is only one part of the decision.

Two policies can show the same coverage amount and still have very different:

Terms.
Features.
Conversion options.
Guarantees.
Underwriting.
Company strength.
And long-term implications.

Saving money is valuable.
Saving money by giving up something your family actually needs isn’t.

That’s why comparison should never stop at:
“Which one costs less?”
Ask:
What am I getting?
What am I giving up?
How long does it last?
What happens later?
And does this actually solve the problem my family needs solved?

Financial education helps turn a price comparison into an informed decision.

Compare carefully, not casually.

Term or permanent?
How much coverage?
How long should it last?

Those are important questions.

But they shouldn’t be the first questions.

Start here:
Who depends on you?
What would you want life to look like for them if you weren’t here?
Would you want your children to stay in their home?
Finish college?
Give your spouse time to adjust?
Keep a business operating?
Continue caring for a parent?

Once the responsibility is clear, the insurance conversation becomes much easier to understand.

That’s why the right coverage shouldn’t begin with a product. It should begin with a purpose.

Term may solve one kind of need. Permanent coverage may address another. Some families may use a combination.

There is no universal answer because there is no universal family.
Start with the people.
Then choose the protection that serves them.

Most people think of their income as a number on a paycheck.

But your family experiences it very differently.

It’s the house they come home to.
The food in the refrigerator.
The activities your children love.
The college dreams you’re helping build.
The vacations, traditions, birthdays and ordinary Tuesdays that make up a life.

Your income quietly supports almost everything your family is building.

So one of the most important financial questions isn’t only:
"What are we doing with our income today?"

It’s:
"What happens to everything depending on it if that income suddenly stops?"

Building wealth takes years. A family’s need for protection exists right now.

Protecting income isn’t about expecting the worst.
It’s about recognizing what your work already makes possible and protecting the people who depend on it.

Love is what you do while you’re here.
You provide.
You show up.
You make the mortgage payment.
You buy the groceries.
You drive them to school.
You make plans for a future you expect to share.
But love can also mean preparing for a future you hope never comes.
Life insurance can’t replace a parent, a spouse, a laugh around the dinner table, or the person everyone turns to when life gets hard.
What it can do is help protect the life that continues.
It can help give a family time. Options. Stability. The ability to keep moving forward while everything else feels like it has stopped.
Because the greatest promise we make to the people we love isn’t simply:
“I’ll take care of you.
”It’s:
“I’ve done what I can to make sure you’re cared for, even if I can’t be there.”
