There’s a kind of struggle a lot of men never talk about.
You wake up and everybody needs something from you.
Your family needs you to be present.
Your job needs you to perform.
The bills keep coming.
Your kids are watching.
Your wife needs a husband.
And somewhere underneath all of it, your mind is replaying yesterday and trying to solve problems that haven’t even happened yet.
Then you feel guilty because you know what Scripture says. You know God is faithful. You know you’re supposed to trust Him.
But knowing it and actually living it at 2:00 in the morning when your mind won’t shut off are two very different things.
That’s one of the reasons I wrote TODAY.
Not because I have everything figured out.
I wrote it for the guy who is trying to be a good husband, a good dad, a provider, a leader and a man of faith — while quietly fighting battles in his own head that almost nobody sees.
Jesus never told us to carry yesterday, today and tomorrow all at once.
He said:
“Do not worry about tomorrow…” — Matthew 6:34
Sometimes faith isn’t having the next five years figured out.
Sometimes faith is getting out of bed and saying:
“God, I’m giving You yesterday. I’m trusting You with tomorrow. Help me live the day You gave me.”
That is what this book is about.
Stop reliving yesterday.
Stop rehearsing tomorrow.
Live the life God gave you — TODAY.
If you’re a dad, husband, or man who has been carrying more internally than people realize, I wrote this with you in mind.

And if this hits home for you, send it to another man who might need it. You never really know what somebody is fighting behind closed doors.
