Thursday: Know Your Numbers
One good month doesn't necessarily mean your business is growing.
Every business can have an unusually strong month, or a rough one. That's why looking at a single month by itself can give you an incomplete picture.
Instead, look for trends.
Compare several months and ask:
-Is revenue generally moving up, down, or staying steady?
-Are expenses growing along with revenue?
-Is profitability improving over time?
-Are certain months consistently stronger or weaker?
-How does this period compare with the same period last year?
The goal isn't to overreact to every high or low.
It's to understand the direction your business is moving so you can make decisions based on meaningful information, not just one month's results.
