Sometimes going above and beyond means a little more than answering the phone after hours. ❤️

During our conversation on the Bits by Bacon podcast, I shared a story I hadn’t planned on telling…

A few years ago, my clients had signed their closing documents and were ready to move into their new home, but their wire was coming from Texas just as a hurricane forced people to evacuate.

The wire didn’t go out. The home couldn’t close. And suddenly, this family was stranded with moving vans, children, dogs…and horses.

So, I opened my guest house and welcomed all of them onto our property until the wire could be sent and their home officially closed.

Was that part of my job description? No. But taking care of people has always been part of who I am.

They didn’t just become homeowners—they became friends. And years later, they’re still sending referrals my way.

That’s what it means to show up beyond the transaction.

Around here, the dogs aren’t just pets, they’re family. They’re our sidekicks, supervisors, entertainment, protectors, and occasionally the reason we’re yelling, “WHAT ARE YOU EATING?!” 😂

Life just wouldn’t be the same without these four. From wet noses and wagging tails to muddy paws and unconditional love, they make every day a little better. 🐶❤️

There are some people who just feel like they’ve always been part of our lives. Dolly Parton was one of them. 💔

Today, we lost a true country legend — but what a legacy she leaves behind.

Dolly was so much more than the rhinestones, the big hair and that unmistakable voice. She was a songwriter, a storyteller, a businesswoman, a philanthropist and a woman who never forgot where she came from.

She showed the world that you could be strong and kind, successful and humble, glamorous and still completely authentic.

Country music won’t be quite the same without her.

Rest easy, Dolly. 🤍

After 30 years in the mortgage business, I can tell you that some of my favorite properties to finance are the ones that are a little outside the box.

🔵 Dome homes
🌾 And those unique properties that make other lenders scratch their heads

These properties require a little more experience, a little more creativity, and knowing the right questions to ask before you get too far down the road.
