Congratulations Mark Suhr!

PIA Announces New National President

OCTOBER 1, 2025, WASHINGTON D.C. - Mark Suhr, CIC, CPIA, of Seward, Nebraska, has been sworn in as President of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents. He succeeds Ariel Rivera, MBA, CIC, CPIA, of Jacksonville, Florida, who will now serve as Immediate Past President.

Mark joins fellow officers David Gorman, CPIA (President-Elect), Vonda Copeland, CPIA, CWCU (Vice President/Treasurer), and Albert S. Pappalardo, Jr., MBA, CIC (Secretary/Assistant Treasurer). Each officer will serve through September 30, 2026.

With a strong focus on technology, Mark is committed to helping independent insurance agents harness new tools, adapt to rapid change, and remain competitive in today’s evolving marketplace.

PIA NC staff hit the road on Tuesday and we are half way done day 1 of 2025! What a day so far!!!!! Some fantastic teaching from and and our lunch keynote knocked it OUT of the park! Marques really hit some major points and I know we all took something away from this! So grateful to Marques for making time for us!!!
