In 2011 my husband and I would watch companies throw away thousands of mailing tubes. We always thought of how wasteful it was to see these fill dumpsters and then landfills throughout America. After weeks of wondering how we can help we came up with a decision. A purse is what we were going to design using these cardboard cylinders. It was kind of hard to grasp at first when my husband explained
how it was going to work, but after countless hours on a prototype and design I started to see this new trendy purse we had in mind. This is where Wunkin™ was born. The company was formed on a very basic process called Upcycling. This is the process of converting waste materials into new materials or a higher environmental value. We wanted to keep our purses trendy and unequal to any other purse on the market, but at the same time make it very affordable to promote helping the Environment. All of our products are hand crafted with and this will never change. So look around and we challenge you to think green when buying :) A: It is a very trendy company that creates all kinds of products using reused and recycled materials. They create everything from Office supply holders to upcycled purse/clutches that contains no zippers or snaps. It is made from 40% to 90% reused/recycled materials (varies per purse). More than half of the purse is also recyclable after it's life as a purse. Our goal was to have a purse unlike any other on the market, but at the same time serve it's purpose. So we created a purse that can carry your phone, keys, money and even a pair of sunglasses all in the 12” cylinder for that perfect night out on the town. Not only is it holding your valuables, but it’s protecting them at the same time. Our purses have a crush resistance of more than 150 pounds with end caps on. This will keep your expensive phone and glasses protected from people stepping or sitting on them. Place your finger in the small hole at each end to access your belongings fast and easy. Yes there is a small 1" hole at each end to allow pulling ends out easy and fast. Keep your change in a small change purse and your good to go. Not only are our purses fashionable, but you are helping protect our planet for the next generation.
