And these two just officially became first-time homeowners.

Closing days like this are my favorite. Watching a young couple go from “can we really buy a house?” to holding the keys to their own home never gets old.

No more rent. No more landlord. Just a mortgage, a set of keys, and approximately 847 trips to Lowe’s in their future, conveniently walking distance from their new house.

They weren’t ready to buy a home when we first started talking.

So we made a plan.

We worked on the things that needed attention, talked with lenders, asked questions, and took it one step at a time.

A year and a half later, they signed the papers.
