Please do not EVER EVER EVER allow someone to take control of or view your computer from another location.

I had a phone call this morning from "Microsoft" and they wanted to "help" me with my computer since I had some hackers break in this morning at 4:30am. I played with them for a while, then once I told him he is NOT going to access my computer remotely, that he is sadly mistaken, he hung up.

Microsoft will NOT call you to help, nor will Dell or Gateway or HP. Nothing is for free and nobody knows about hacks before you do. Oh, and the IRS will not call you for money either, nor is your son/daughter/grandchild in jail needing bail money.

In today's world, the dollar doesn't go as far as it once did. And it seems that the ones that are hit the hardest in today's economy are retirees who are generally on a strict budget.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue requires tax professionals who prepare income tax returns to follow standards of ethics and conduct. Those with credentials - such as certified public accountants (CPAs), enrolled agents, or attorneys - must also follow a code of ethics for their profession.
