Hello June! πŸ”†

Most people check their bank account when something feels off. By then, the surprise has already happened.

The clients who stay ahead of their finances are not necessarily the ones earning the most. They are the ones who made a habit of looking before they had a reason to worry. Five minutes in the morning and at the top of every month.

Awareness is not the same as anxiety. Knowing where you stand is what keeps small leaks from becoming big problems.

Here is what that monthly check-in should actually include.

Financial stress and mental health are more connected than most people want to admit. I have seen it in my own life, and I see it in the conversations I have every day.

When someone is carrying anxiety, burnout, or something heavier underneath the surface, it shows up in how they make decisions, how they engage with their money, and how clearly they can think about their future.

This month we are talking about mental health because it belongs in the conversation. Not as a sidebar, but as a real part of what it means to build a resilient life.

The slides in this carousel cover five key aspects of your mental health. Not because we are therapists, but because we believe the people we serve deserve to be seen as whole people. Your financial well-being and your mental well-being are not separate things.

If something in here resonates with you, pay attention to that. And if you or someone close to you is struggling, the 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day by call or text. NAMI can also be reached at 1-800-950-6264. You do not have to be in crisis to reach out.

When you run your own business, the responsibility of building retirement income falls entirely on you. Most business owners push it down the list because there are always more pressing things competing for that money.

But I have sat across from people who built real businesses and arrived at retirement age with very little set aside personally. The business was the plan. And plans change.

A SEP-IRA or Solo 401(k) can be a powerful tool depending on how your business is structured. The contribution limits are generous, and the tax advantages are real. Getting started is less complicated than most people expect.

A lot of people come in thinking we are just going to talk about their investments. And we do get there. But that is never where the real conversation starts.

When I sit down with someone, I want to know how they make decisions. How they think about their family, their future, what keeps them up at night. Because the numbers on a statement do not tell me any of that. The conversation does.

Financial planning, done right, covers a lot of ground. It is debt, retirement, estate planning, budgeting, education, insurance, goal setting, and the big purchases that shape your life. Every piece connects to the others, and when one area is missing, you eventually feel it.

If there is a category in here you have not thought about in a while, that is probably where we should start.

One year ago, Jefferson Ordonez joined the Resilient Wealth Management team. I did not know then what everything he would bring to this work would be, but I had a feeling.

That is usually how it goes with the right people. You see something in them before you can fully name it.

What I can name now, a year in, is this: Jefferson shows up. Not just to the job, but to the people we serve and the team around him. He has grown into this work in ways that matter, and the clients and colleagues who interact with him feel that.

I am proud to have him on the team and grateful for everything this first year has built. Here is to many more.

Jefferson, thank you for choosing to be part of what we are building here.

I have had this conversation more times than I can count. A business owner comes in, things are going well on the surface, but when we start looking at the actual numbers, everything is tangled. Business income sitting next to personal expenses. No clear picture of what the business is generating or what it is costing.

It is one of the first things I ask about: do you have a dedicated business account? Not because it is a technicality, but because you cannot manage what you cannot see.

At Resilient Wealth Management, financial planning for business owners goes beyond the basics. We help you build a structure that actually reflects what your business is doing, tracks where your money is going, and positions you to make decisions with real clarity. If you are ready to get your financial foundation in order, we would love to be part of that process.

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend.

For a lot of families, it's the day the silence gets louder. It's the chair that stays empty. It's the name on a wall of a person who had a laugh and a favorite meal, and people who loved them.

I don't take what those families gave lightly. I never will.

Resilience is in our name for a reason. It came from watching people carry things that would level most of us, and still find a way forward. Today is a reminder of where that word actually comes from.

To everyone holding someone in your heart today, we're holding space with you.

To those who served and came home, thank you. What you carried so the rest of us wouldn't have to is not something I take for granted.

Rest well today.

πŸ•°οΈ [three-minute watch]

You're probably not afraid of money. You're afraid of your numbers.

There is a real moment that happens when you sit down and actually look at everything. The account balances, the debt, the credit cards. I compare it to stepping on a scale. You know the number is there. Looking at it does not change the number, but it changes you. That moment of honesty is where something shifts.

In this video, I'm breaking down the three things I come back to in almost every financial conversation I have: courage, consistency, and clarity.

Courage is the willingness to look.
Consistency is understanding that wealth is not built or lost in a single decision. It is the pattern of decisions made over time that determines where you end up.
And clarity is what happens on the other side of all of it.

When you have been honest, when you have stayed committed, and you start to see the direction you are actually heading. That feeling is peace. Real peace, not just positive thinking.

If you set goals in January and have not revisited them since, this is the moment. The second quarter is the right time to assess what is working, what needs to change, and what remains realistic for the rest of this year.

Take the three minutes to watch this. Then take the courage to open your accounts before you have a fun weekend. Happy Friday!

It means a lot to watch this team conquer their goals.

Jefferson Ordonez just passed the Securities Industry Essentials exam, and that is worth stopping to celebrate. The SIE is the foundational exam required on the path to becoming a fully licensed financial professional. It takes real dedication to get there.

Jefferson put in the work, and he cleared it. And he is just getting started.

We are growing here at Resilient Wealth Management and building stronger for the people who trust us with their financial futures. Congratulations, Jefferson.πŸŽ‰πŸ†

Markets had a busy week, and I want to make sure you have the context to understand what it actually means for you.

The S&P 500 pushed back toward all-time highs. AI stocks are running. And on the surface, that sounds like good news. For a lot of people it is. But a strong run in one sector is also the right moment to look at how much of your portfolio is concentrated there, because the same momentum that feels exciting on the way up can create real pressure when it reverses.

There is also a leadership change at the Federal Reserve that is worth paying attention to. A new chair means a potentially different communication style and a different approach to how the Fed signals its next moves. Markets respond to that uncertainty, and your plan should be built to hold through it.
The 30-year Treasury crossing 5% is the kind of detail that does not make headlines, but it matters. It affects borrowing costs, bond valuations, and the way risk is priced across the entire market.

I pulled together the most relevant updates from LPL Research this week and broke them down into what they actually mean from where you stand. Swipe through for the full picture.
