Max Detwiler, an Advisor based in Overland Park, has been with the firm for eight years and is passionate about helping clients make meaningful progress toward their financial goals. Outside of work, Max enjoys downhill skiing and golfing—recently pictured hitting the slopes with his father at Copper Mountain, Colorado. Inspired by his grandmother, who spent much of her career teaching at the Kansas School for the Deaf, Max has developed a growing interest in learning American Sign Language and hopes to pick up phrases he can share with his brother. This curiosity and commitment to growth reflect both his professional approach and his personal values.

In this issue of Inside the Heartland, we meet Stephanie Bishop, a Client Services Coordinator, with RaiStone Wealth Partners in Omaha who will celebrate 10 years with the company on May 23. Motivated by the partners and team she works alongside, Stephanie thrives in a role where no two days are ever the same—and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She enjoys being the office “go‑to” and values most the camaraderie, shared faith, friendships, and good‑natured humor that define her team. Outside of work, Stephanie is a self‑described book nerd with a home library and an ambitious goal of reading 60 books this year, plus a talent for quoting movies her younger coworkers somehow haven’t seen. She and her husband love traveling to Mexico, dream of a future trip to Paris, and she treasures family time—especially snuggles with her grandson, Vinny. Fun fact: Stephanie knows the alphabet in four different languages.

Join us in celebrating Kelly Hawkins in this Inside the Heartland feature! 🎉

Kelly is the Office Manager in Troy Rust’s office in Richmond, Missouri, celebrating seven years with the company on April 29. What motivates Kelly every day is the people—she truly values the strong, personal relationships she’s built with clients over the years. In her role, she enjoys the freedom to create organized systems that support the team’s unique, multi‑location office environment. One of her proudest professional moments was helping support Troy in achieving his first Bronze Eagle award. Outside of work, Kelly stays active with workouts, disc golf, pickleball, and reading. Family and travel are central to her life, whether visiting her children and grandchildren across the Midwest or exploring the country with her husband in their truck camper—hiking state and national parks and even conquering four Colorado Fourteeners. Some favorite memories include Colorado in the fall, Bryce Canyon at sunrise, and witnessing a volcanic eruption in Hawaii.
