Independence Day Celebration Volunteers Needed - Saturday, June 30th from 3pm to 10pm

All – I’m coordinating volunteers for the upcoming Fort Thomas Independence Day Celebration which will take place on Saturday, June 30th, from 3pm to 10pm. We need volunteers to sell both beer tickets & ride/inflatable tickets. Mature teenagers & up can work the ride/inflatable ticket booth assuming that they can make change or a parent is with them.

Please let me know if you’re willing to volunteer and for what time. I’m looking for commitments of at least 1 hour, preferably 2 hours.

Jack-O-Lantern Walk - Thursday, 10/27

The Ft Thomas Jack-O-Lantern Walk is this Thursday, October 27th, from 7pm - 9pm. It takes place in Tower Park near Shelter 2 (the tennis courts).

Volunteers are needed to help set-up the morning of the 27th from 8am - Noon which will involve carrying pumpkins, setting out luminary bags & hay bales. Volunteers are also needed during the event (6pm - 9:30pm) to keep the trail in order & assist staff members.

FTP will again be assisting with the Merchants & Music Festival on September 24th. We are looking for people to man the ticket booths for mostly 2 hour shifts. Shifts are 4-6, 6-8, 8-10, and 10-11. The Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy is working hard to put an all native plant garden in at the Fort Thomas Museum up at Tower Park. In order to start the next phase of the garden a large amount of honeysuckle needs to be removed. We are looking for help from 9a-noon on 11/13. You'll need gloves and lopers/bow saw. Please comment on this post if you can help.

The Moyer Gardening Club will be working on another project on school grounds October 16th. They are looking for help to clean, dig, and plant around the playground. FTP previously helped build a rain garden at Moyer last year. If you are able to help, please respond to this post or contact Marc, Scott, or Shawn directly.
