CRAMS community, please join me in wishing our beloved Garcy and Gaby a Happy Birthday! Their academic journey, struggles, and achievements inspired me to make a bold move and leave a very comfortable job 16 years ago to create a space where students like them could learn and grow in a supportive and challenging learning community. Today, so many young professionals who discovered their gifts, purpose, and careers through their CRAMS experience are living successful and fulfilling lives as college graduates and some professional degree holders.

Our foundation building approach works and they and so many others are living proof.

You know you've made an impact when your student and her parent want to spend quality time with you while on vacation.

We see each other on Zoom for our weekly Life Advancement Coaching Sessions ( LACS) as she lives in another state. We bonded almost instantly. After the first five sessions, she wanted to get together in person during her recent Florida vacation trip so that I could experience her transformation in real time. Sometimes, all it takes is the right person, a listening ear, and directed guidance. What a treat!

Over the years, I have had the privilege of observing some real fathers (both biological and step-ups), serving as architects of human potential through unconditional love, nurturing guidance, and selfless sacrifice. Today, we celebrate you for all you do. Happy Father's Day! Enjoy your day.

Teaching at the college level has been a dream come true. Didn't think I would have the time to add one more thing to my plate, but when God has His plans for your life, He removes all barriers.

Today, I wrapped up my 3rd year as a college professor, and I can't begin to tell you how fulfilling it is to have had the opportunity to mold the minds and inspire the motivation of the next generation.

The very first thing I noticed about this group on the first week is that collectively, they are truly "good human beings!"

Here's a sneak peek into how the class went this semester.

"Dear Professor Lawson,
The school year is now over, and I would like to thank you for not only being an amazing teacher but also an amazing person. I am not joking when I say that your class has been my favorite this year!! That is a testament to your preparedness and engaging teaching style. One of my favorite things about this class is how we have in-depth conversations in a world where the majority of conversations are surface level. A lot of what you have taught has stuck with me, not only about public speaking but also about making meaningful connections with people. I am grateful to you for the experience you have given me, and I look forward to learning more in your next class!"

We had an amazing time connecting with friends and supporting a great cause at the Blue Hope 5K Run/Walk! My mentees and I were happy to join for their 6th Annual event to raise awareness for colon cancer. Huge shoutout to the team of volunteers. Y'all crushed it today!
