While it's not open enrollment season, individuals with specific income thresholds (As seen in the chart below) can currently sign up. This includes those earning between $15,000 to approximately $24,000 annually as an individual.
Even if presently unemployed, individuals planning to work this year can still estimate their income.
Even without a W2 or 1099 showing $15k, customers can still claim miscellaneous income from cash-paying odd jobs like yard work assistance, babysitting, or similar activities.
Married individuals or those with dependents can exceed the $24,000 threshold.
Valid US citizenship, an address to receive mail, and the ability to e-sign a consent form are also required.
Additionally, they'll need to provide the following information in order to apply:
First & Last Name
Address
Date of Birth
Social Security Number
Income & Employment Details
Information on any dependents claimed on their taxes
