The charter has been amended many times expanding the field of members. In March, 2001 NCUA granted a Community Charter to the Credit Union. It states that persons who live, work , worship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Colbert and Lauderdale Counties are eligible for membership. Immediate family members are eligible for membership also. The Credit Union is a democratic organization allowing members to have a vote in electing directors to represent them. A membership fee of $1.00 is required. Also one $25.00 share must be deposited and remain on deposit to continue membership and allow members to use all of the services.
