Please join us in celebrating Emily Harris on her incredible 31-year anniversary with Hancock Federal Credit Union! 🎉
Emily began her HFCU journey as a Teller and has worked her way into the back office, where she now serves as an Operations Specialist-Member Payroll. Over the years, she has learned and taken on a variety of areas, including Cards, ACH, and more. After 31 years, her favorite part of working at HFCU is something that has been important throughout her entire career: flexibility. Emily is grateful that HFCU has allowed her to adjust her schedule over the years to be there for her children, whether that meant picking them up from school or attending their activities. It gave her the opportunity to build a career while also being the mom she wanted to be.
Emily's advice for anyone looking to succeed in their career is simple: maintain a positive attitude. She believes staying positive can help you navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and view stressful situations as opportunities to grow; both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, Emily's greatest joy is being a mom to her three amazing adult children. She also enjoys staying active, relaxing on days off without a strict schedule, watching classic sitcoms and movies from the '80s and '90s, and, of course, enjoying a good ice cream from Dietsch Brothers Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream or . Twister! 🍦 She hopes to travel more in the future, with Hawaii at the top of her list for a family trip.
