Please join us in celebrating Tanya Thomas on her 7-year work anniversary with Hancock Federal Credit Union!
Tanya currently serves as our Consumer Lending Manager, after previously working as a Consumer Loan Representative and Consumer Lender. Her favorite part of working at HFCU is being part of a team that supports each other, has fun together, and works hard to find solutions that make a real difference for our members. She says one thing members might be surprised to learn is that HFCU works indirectly with 34 dealerships in and around the Hancock County area, helping make the auto financing process even easier.
When it comes to career advice, Tanya believes in putting in the hard work and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Her motto? “You can do hard things!”
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys starting a day with a good cup of coffee and a good book, spending time with Lillian, and visiting antique stores. She's also a fan of Logan's Irish Pub and Archie's. Her travel bucket list includes staying in an overwater bungalow in the Maldives and visiting Belfast, Ireland, to see the Titanic Museum and where the Titanic was built and launched. And yes, she admits, “I know... I'm a nerd!” 😂
Tanya is also a fan of 90 Day Fiancé and all of its spinoffs, would love to master playing the piano or crocheting, and has a hidden talent that might surprise you: she can weld! 🔥
