July 25th at Middle Bay Golf we're hosting the 3rd annual Doug Knab Golf Outing, working with Sunday Swim to raise funds for Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island we have 36 golfers attending. Our mission is to collaborate with golf courses to support Athletes Against Cancer. We aim to continue the legacy of Charlie Andromias, our late Chairman, who dedicated his life to helping children battling cancer. We strive to provide fun and exciting athletic programs featuring popular and professional heroes of today. These kids are our true heroes!

In the 90s, legends like Sam Snead, J.C. Snead, Lee Trevino, Jim Kaat, and Mike Schmidt were instrumental in helping this organization at Hobe Sound Golf Club, in Florida. For those who knew Charlie, he was member 1A, and to this day, the two roads leading into Hobe Sound are Plandome and Freeport. Charlie was the president, course record holder, and champion of Plandome, and we are proud that Plandome was the first club to launch an innovative label of "Golf Score Cards on Beers," a concept never done before. Charlie was also an esteemed member of Shinnecock.

Working with Jones Beach Brewing Company, known for their tide charts to help boater safety and bowling frames on beers, which all go towards non-profits to their partners, their brewery aligns perfectly with our mission.

Returning to Long Island, where Charlie was from, we have partnered with courses like Bellport Country Club, Peninsula Golf NY, Hempstead Golf & Country Club, Rockville Centre Links, Bethpage, and Huntington Crescent Club, and even expanded to Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck. Golf brands like Chippo and Bradley Putters have also impacted this effort to help children in need.

We are excited to have our first outing this year and donate to Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island, a place our friends Sunday Swim have contributed to, making this a full Long Island mission.

Thank you to all the friends, family, golfers, bowlers, and professionals who have supported this cause through breweries and other contributions. Monday was a day of alignment for giving and historical context. ❤️ The Legend of 🏌🏻‍♂️past member at Co-Founder of ⛳️ previous Chairman of and remembered President of , returns with a cup after missing for 45 years. This past Monday during the 8th annual 👨‍🌾Golf outing at Plandome; 🍺, was shocked to learn that this course record holding, multiple champion golfers donated “presidents cup” was restored to the club house during their first time participating in the event as a sponsor 🥇 . The brewery is known for its involvement with waterfront conservation and the preservation of the Horseshoe Crabs 🐴👞🦀🍺. Founders Christopher and Randy Mills were giving cans and cups of their newly launched beer to participants and donors 🍻. The brothers are also noted as the grandsons of “Charlie Andromidas”. Coincidentally Christopher is an 8 year ambassador for Smile Farms, a non-profit that supports financial independence, through employment for developmentally diabled adults💐. These brothers were honored to be supporting a great cause in Smile Farms and were elated to be playing the same course where their grandfather made such an impact over the years🏆. Perhaps the return of this cup is a “tip of the cap” from Charlie to his grandsons, not only for making their focus in business about giving back but also sharing a brew with his “cup” through the positive energy shared by all in the room. 💪❤️
