Indigenous People Day *T4L Open today*

Chief Solano: The most famous member of the Suisun was Sem-Yeto, also known as Chief Solano. He was a leader who allied with General Mariano Vallejo of Mexico, and he is the namesake for Solano County
* The Patwin people: The Suisun are a part of the Patwin, a name the local groups used for themselves, which translates to “the people”. They were not one unified tribe in the modern sense, but rather a collection of autonomous village “tribelets” that shared linguistic and cultural similarities.
* Name origin: The name “Suisun” comes from the Patwin word for “west wind”. The name of the area, the city, and the tribe all derive from this.

Have you checked out our u-pick fields around the market? Here is a map of what we have available to pick! Our fields are open from 8:30-4:30 everyday but Wednesday. We have buckets available for you to use by the cash registers. Flowers are $2.50/bunch, tomatoes are $0.59/lb and everything else is $0.79/lb. You can pay at either our u-pick register that overlooks the fields or inside the store!

🩵🤎💙💚We are participating in California Adopt A Pet Day on Saturday June 7th. 💚💙🤎🩵 We want this to be the event of the year. There will be 💸fee waived adoptions, 🌮🍨🌭 food trucks, 🎨 rock painting, 🫧bubble station, 🖍chalk art, 📸picture opportunities, and a 💭foam pit!

Have a kid who’s obsessed with trucks, sirens, or anything with wheels? 🚒🚛 Then you have to check out Trucks of the Trade at the Fairfield Cordelia Library on Saturday, June 7!

From 9AM to noon, the library parking lot will be packed with awesome vehicles — fire trucks, ambulances, tow trucks, trash trucks, food trucks... and even FAST buses! Your little ones can climb inside, explore, and meet the real people who drive them every day.

No registration is required, but it’s recommended if you want to skip the line. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s the perfect Saturday morning outing for families. Come say hi, honk some horns, and make some memories!
