IR-2022-188: 401(k) limit increases to $22,500 for 2023, IRA limit rises to $6,500
What does it mean to the taxpayer?
You can actually contribute up to amount without incurring any penalty. In addition you have up to the end of the regular tax filing period ( mid-April) to max it out.
