It has been so disheartening this week seeing all my friends and connections posting about losing their job at Paycom and others. I lost my job in 2021 after 30 years with the same company. When you love what you do and the customers you serve and the colleagues you work with, your job loss is emotionally devastating.
As you are dealing with the emotional impact, you are also faced with navigating so many financial decisions. Many of these decisions should happen within the first 90 days following a job loss. Healthcare, benefits, 401k plans, and unemployment to name a few. How you handle those decisions can have a lasting impact financially.
I have so much gratitude for my advisor that helped me navigate all these important decisions. They even helped me with problems and solutions I didn't realize I had or needed.
Looking back, I can see where the journey was leading me and finally 4 years into it, I know that the change has made me a healthier and happier person. I used the skills and passion that I had, took the time to add a few additional credentials and I am now able to serve others when they are navigating this difficult time.
Please know that "YOU CAN DO THIS!" and you do not have to do it alone. It's hard, no question but I pray that soon you will see the perfectly designed plan for your life unfold.
I am here to be your guide along this journey. Please reach out to me or refer your friends that have been impacted. I find a lot of joy when I am able to find purpose in my pain. In the meantime, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
