Wild Yonder

Wild Yonder kindling creativity in the wilderness of NC Wild Yonder is a roving summer camp offering inspired retreats fueled by fresh air. Our formula has three parts.

Part vacation, part symposium, WY builds events and cultivates opportunities for campers to relax, discover and share—all while sitting around a campfire with a flask of bourbon. Place: Wild Yonder serves as host to the great wide open. We leave the city behind us, even if only for a few hours, and tap into the magic of nature: the quiet; the smells of pine needles and dirt; the sensation of stepp

ing into a flowing river; the taste of an expertly scorched marshmallow. Counselors: Wild Yonder encourages and celebrates creativity through curated programming. We provide a forum for badasses from our cultural community to share their gifts and skills with others. We’ll make you a promise: you will leave WY with new knowledge. Campers: Our retreats are intentionally small and intimate. Each group creates a unique dynamic with inimitable discoveries. We learn from each other and form new bonds with every trail hiked and meal shared. While we scout for a permanent location for Wild Yonder to call home, we are hosting a series of Wild Yonder Day Camps. These guided adventures are themed and held in various inspiring spaces in and around the Triangle. We are also scouting the country and our own local scene for inspiration, and sharing our finds both digitally and through our programming. We are a group who loves to collaborate and learn from those around us. We feel there is a wealth of knowledge and invaluable experiences that we can draw upon and share as kindling for inspiring new work. Join us around the fire.
