What does a bookkeeper do on a daily basis?

-Complete data entry and collect transaction details for incoming and outgoing bank accounts.
-Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and other databases to post up-to-date financial transactions.
-Track debits and credits for each account.
-Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
-Maintain and monitor financial records for accuracy.
-Reconcile or report any discrepancies in financial reports.
-Produce or pay invoices for credit card bills or inventory orders.
-Complete payroll.
-File tax returns.

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth (aka Libby) and I am the owner of Meticulous Bookkeeping Service, LLC.

I'd love to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a newly single mom to a wonderful 5 year old daughter. I currently work full-time at a law firm and am looking for a little extra cash.

I decided to go with bookkeeping after hearing about it as a job in one of my mom Facebook groups I am in. I felt like it would be a great fit for me for many reasons. First, I was the treasurer for my sorority (Alpha Sigma Tau-Gamma Rho Chapter) which I did exactly what a bookkeeper does. Second, I also am familiar with quick-books as I often have to use it at my full-time employment when my boss is on vacation. I took a 6 week course and am now ready to jump in and start growing my business.
