🚨 Do you really need excess liability coverage?

If your business already has general liability insurance, you may wonder why you would need an excess liability policy too.

Here’s the simple answer: your business can be exposed to a lawsuit that exceeds the limits of your underlying liability policy.

Excess liability provides an additional layer of protection above the limits of your underlying policies. If a large claim exhausts those limits, excess coverage can help protect your business from having to absorb the remaining costs out of pocket.

For example, if your business has a $1 million liability limit and a serious claim results in $2 million in damages, that additional $1 million could become your responsibility without additional coverage.

💡 Businesses can face significant liability exposure from things like:
• Serious customer or third-party injuries
• Major property damage
• Large lawsuits or settlements
• Accidents involving employees or business operations
• Claims that exceed your underlying liability limits

You may think, “That won't happen to my business.” And hopefully it never does. But insurance is about being prepared for the one claim you never expected.

If you own a business, it's worth reviewing your liability limits to determine whether an excess liability policy makes sense for you.

📲 Want to see if your current coverage is enough? Send me a message and I’d be happy to review it with you.

You probably won't think about your business insurance... until the day you need it.

The reality is, insurance is one of the few things you hope you never have to use.

No one enjoys seeing premiums increase, and I understand why it's frustrating. But the purpose of business insurance has never been to be the cheapest option—it's to protect your business when a lawsuit, property damage, employee accident, or other unexpected event threatens everything you've built.

The question isn't, "What's the lowest premium?"

The better question is, "If something happens tomorrow, will my business be protected?"

As an independent insurance agent, I believe in finding the right balance between cost and coverage. Saving money is important—but so is making sure your policy will actually be there for you when it matters most.

Your business deserves more than the cheapest policy. It deserves the right protection.

📢 Insurance Renewals: A Little Preparation Goes a Long Way!

When it’s time for your insurance renewal, one of the most important things you can do is make sure your agent has the most current and accurate information about your business, home, vehicles, or operations.

Changes that may seem small can make a big difference, such as:
✅ New equipment or vehicles
✅ Changes in employees or payroll
✅ Updates to your business operations
✅ Renovations or improvements
✅ New locations or services offered
✅ Changes in drivers, properties, or exposures

Providing updated information helps ensure your policy is properly reviewed, your coverage is accurate, and your renewal process goes as smoothly as possible.

A smooth renewal starts with good communication. Don’t wait until the last minute—reach out to your insurance agent and keep your information up to date!

Your coverage is there to protect what matters most. Let’s make sure it continues to do that. 😊

🚨 One lawsuit. One storm. One unexpected event. That's all it takes.

When people think about business insurance, they usually think of restaurants, contractors, or retail stores—but Homeowners Associations (HOAs) need protection too.

HOAs are responsible for maintaining common areas, managing budgets, and making decisions that impact an entire community. That also means they face real risks.

🌳 A storm damages the community clubhouse, entrance signs, or other shared property.
💼 A board decision results in a lawsuit.
💰 Association funds are stolen through fraud or embezzlement.

Without the right insurance, these situations can become incredibly expensive.

Every HOA should work with an insurance professional to make sure they have coverage that's designed for their community, which may include:
✔️ General Liability
✔️ Property Insurance
✔️ Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability
✔️ Crime/Fidelity Coverage
✔️ Workers' Compensation (when applicable)

The right insurance isn't just about protecting property—it's about protecting the people who volunteer their time to serve their community and the financial future of the association.

If you're an HOA board member, property manager, or know someone who serves on a board, I'd be happy to answer questions or review your current coverage.

💬 What questions do you have about HOA insurance? Drop them in the comments or send me a message!

🚨 What would your business do if it couldn't access its computers tomorrow?

I just helped a tech company protect itself with cyber insurance, and it got me thinking—so many businesses assume they're covered until a cyberattack happens.

Today's cyber threats don't just affect large corporations. Small businesses are being targeted every day through phishing emails, ransomware, and data breaches.

Cyber insurance can help businesses recover from covered cyber incidents and get back to doing what they do best.

💡 If your business relies on computers, stores customer information, or operates online, it's worth asking:
Do you know what your current insurance covers?

If you're not sure, let's have a conversation. I'd be happy to review your coverage and help you understand your options.
