As the world marks the 250th anniversary of Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations," JMC Prof. Brianne Wolf is helping new audiences engage with one of the most influential works in economics and political thought.
This summer, Wolf will speak to U.S. federal judges in Edinburgh about Smith's influence on law and the American founding, lead seminars for undergraduate and graduate students, teach in JMC's Academy for Civic Education and conduct research in the University of Edinburgh's Smith archive.
Her work explores a question that remains as relevant today as it was in 1776: What can Adam Smith teach us about economics, democracy and public life? Link in comments to learn more about Wolf's scholarship.
