Crews are putting the finishing touches on the new Detroit Lakes water tower, and watching them work high above the ground is absolutely mesmerizing!

With the brilliant colors of autumn stretching out in the background, even a construction project becomes a beautiful sight to behold. 🍂

Take a moment to enjoy the incredible views and the skilled crews bringing this towering project to completion!

🍁🍂 Mountain Market 2026 at Detroit Mountain! 🍂🍁

What a beautiful day to celebrate fall in Lakes Country! 🍁

Dozens of vendors took to Detroit Mountain to showcase their unique wares, handmade treasures, delicious goodies, and so much more!

I captured this drone footage just as the festival was getting underway, and the excitement was already building! Hundreds of visitors made their way to the mountain to browse, shop, and soak up the beautiful autumn atmosphere.

With the spectacular fall colors as a backdrop, it's hard to imagine a better place to spend a fall day! 🍂🚁

🎶🌅 WHAT A WAY TO END THE SUMMER! 🎸🎤

The final Trucks & Tunes of the 2026 season couldn't have asked for a better grand finale!

Adessa & The Beat absolutely hit it out of the park, bringing all of our favorite songs to life and keeping the crowd entertained right up to the very end! 🎶👏

And just when you thought the evening couldn't get any better, Mother Nature put on a show of her own with an incredible sunset over Detroit Lakes! 🌅❤️

Great music, wonderful friends, and a spectacular sunset — the perfect way to close out another amazing summer of Trucks & Tunes!

🚧 West Lake Drive & Pavilion Construction Update 🚧

There’s a lot happening along the Detroit Lakes waterfront!

At the site of the new Pavilion, crews are drilling holes and pounding pilings deep into the ground, creating the solid foundation for what will soon rise above the lakefront.

Along West Lake Drive, all of the below-grade work is now complete, and crews are shaping the roadway and sidewalks in preparation for pouring curbs. You can already see the outline of the new boat ramp U-turn taking shape!

🍂 The fall colors make for a beautiful backdrop, but there’s no slowing down now. It’s officially a race against Mother Nature to get the road completed before the snow flies! ❄️

🍁 A Fall Evening at Detroit Mountain 🍂

There’s something special about Detroit Mountain this time of year.

From the high canopy of colorful leaves over the winding driveway and the peaceful pond beside the road, to the leaf-covered trails weaving through the woods, every turn feels like fall at its finest.

And, of course, you never know when you might stumble across a Troll hiding among the trees! 🌲👀

With miles of trails, beautiful scenery, the Trolls, and all the resort amenities, Detroit Mountain is more than a place to visit—it’s an experience meant to be explored and shared.

On a beautiful fall evening like this, it’s easy to see why we love calling Lakes Country home. 🍁🚁

🍂 A Fall Morning at Cragun's Resort on Gull Lake 🍁

While attending the Rotary District Conference in Brainerd, I couldn’t resist getting the drone in the air shortly after sunrise to capture the waterfront at Cragun’s Resort.

The morning may have been a little windy and overcast, but this time of year, Minnesota doesn’t need perfect weather to put on a spectacular show. The brilliant fall colors surrounding the water were absolutely beautiful from above.

Cragun’s was a wonderful venue for our annual Rotary gathering this year - and a pretty incredible place to start the day. 🚁🍁

Sometimes you just have to get up early, and see what Minnesota has waiting for you.

🏈 It’s Homecoming Week in Detroit Lakes! 🎉

The streets were packed for the Detroit Lakes High School Homecoming Parade, with students from the high school, middle school, and elementary schools lining the route to cheer on their Lakers!

🚚 Trucks and trailers rolled by filled with athletes, clubs, activities, and plenty of Laker pride.

Of course, we can say everyone came out to support their fellow students… but don’t kid yourself - they came for the candy! 😂🍬🍭

What a fun tradition and a great way to bring the entire school community together.

Many teams and groups were in this parade: Detroit Lakes Football, Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association, Detroit Lakes Boys Soccer, Detroit Lakes Girls Soccer, Detroit Lakes Laker Volleyball
