Troy Richards Elected to Represent Louisiana Bankers on ICBA Federal Delegate Board

The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today announced that Troy Richards, President of Guaranty Bank & Trust, has been elected to the ICBA Federal Delegate Board. ICBA is the nation’s voice for community banks. “Community banks play a vital role in supporting local economies and serving consumers, small businesses and farmers,” said Richards. “It is an honor and a responsibility to serve on ICBA’s Federal Delegate Board. I look forward to working with ICBA and fellow community bank leaders to champion policies and initiatives that strengthen community banks and their efforts to help communities nationwide thrive.”

In addition to helping shape and advocate ICBA’s national policy positions and programs, Richards’ duties include grassroots engagement, member recruitment, and ensuring the views and priorities of community bankers from Louisiana are represented in ICBA’s work in Washington. “Troy exemplifies the leadership, commitment and community focus that are hallmarks of community banking,” said ICBA Chair Alice Frazier, president and CEO of Potomac Bank in Charles Town, W.Va. “ICBA is proud to welcome Troy to the Federal Delegate Board to help advance our mission and ensure community banks continue to have a strong voice in Washington and a lasting presence in the communities they serve.” Troy also currently serves on both the ICBA Fraud Task Force and the ICBA Digital Assets Subcommittee.

Yesterday, Steele Boudreaux (VP), Reed Trisler (VP), Seth Hall (AVP) and Jeremy Harrell (EVP), attended the State of the State luncheon with Governor Jeff Landry. The event was hosted by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and held on the beautiful campus of University of Louisiana Monroe.
