A disruption across the world can still affect the cost of life here at home.
Bill Dendy recently joined Al Qahera for an international interview discussing the Strait of Hormuz crisis and the potential economic impact of rising energy prices, supply chain pressure, transportation costs, and market uncertainty.
One of the key takeaways from the conversation:
Energy prices rarely stay isolated.
When oil and natural gas prices rise, the effects can move through transportation, manufacturing, agriculture, food production, consumer goods, and financial markets.
For families, business owners, and retirees, this is a reminder that global events can quickly become financial events.
The goal is not to predict every crisis.
The goal is to have a financial plan built with enough discipline, liquidity, and flexibility to adapt when uncertainty appears.

Will the latest executive order help lower prices?
Bill Dendy joined WBAP to discuss how changes to federal refrigerant regulations may affect businesses, consumers, grocery costs, transportation, and inflation.

The short answer: this may help prevent some future costs from being passed on to consumers, but it is unlikely to create an immediate drop in prices.

Bill also discussed why consumers are still feeling pressure from inflation, high interest rates, credit card debt, and global uncertainty — even as markets remain near recent highs.

For those considering retirement in 2026, there may be reasons for optimism, including stronger retirement account values and higher fixed-income rates. But uncertainty around inflation and cost of living makes planning more important than ever.

Texas continues to be one of the strongest job-growth states in the country.
Bill Dendy recently joined ABC Waco to discuss why Texas remains attractive to individuals and businesses, including no state income tax, a pro-business environment, and relatively low regulation.
But even in a strong labor market, many households are still feeling pressure.
As Bill explained, the challenge for many workers is that wage growth has not always kept up with the rising cost of everyday expenses.
That is why job growth and financial confidence are not always the same thing.
A growing economy creates opportunity, but families still need thoughtful planning around income, savings, debt, taxes, inflation, and retirement readiness.

Higher beef prices don’t tell the whole story.
In a recent ABC Waco interview, we looked at what’s happening on the rancher side of the equation.
After several difficult years—drought, rising costs, and low profitability—many ranchers were forced to reduce their herds just to stay afloat.
Now we’re seeing the result:
• Supply is tighter
• Demand remains strong
• Prices are rising
For many ranchers, this is finally a moment of relief.
But rebuilding the cattle supply takes time—often two to three years—so these conditions may continue for a while.

Bill Dendy recently joined FOX 26 Houston to discuss the latest U.S. jobs report and the growing reality of what economists describe as a “K-shaped economy.”
While headline employment numbers remain resilient, many households continue facing pressure from:
• persistent inflation
• elevated energy costs
• housing affordability challenges
• and broader economic uncertainty.
The discussion examined how higher-income households are often benefiting from appreciating assets and investment growth, while many middle- and lower-income families continue feeling increasing strain from rising everyday expenses.
As markets, inflation, and geopolitical developments continue intersecting in real time, understanding the broader economic landscape remains increasingly important for businesses, investors, and families alike.
