🚨 Still need to file your 2025 or prior-year tax returns? Don’t wait!
The IRS will temporarily shut down its e-file system on December 26, 2026, at 11:59 a.m. Eastern, ahead of the 2027 filing season.
Some tax software providers may stop accepting returns as early as mid-November. Our software does not have that earlier November cutoff.
✅ Send your outstanding tax documents now to your tax professionals
✅ File eligible returns before the shutdown.
✅ If you miss the cutoff, discuss paper filing or filing when e-filing reopens in 2027.
The shutdown does not extend filing or payment deadlines
📅 While we’re catching up, let’s plan ahead!
