In honor of Veterans day, here’s a true story by Cheryl Drane Your HouseSOLD Name
He was the oldest first time homebuyer I’ve ever worked with. Why? Because as a career military triage specialist his family moved very frequently and it wasn’t prudent for him to purchase a home if they were uprooted every 18 months +- At 70 he used his VA benefits to buy his first home. While he was on the front lines during bloody wars, securing our peace and prosperity, we were here, in the US, enjoying the equity that most Americans rely on to aid in their retirement years. At 70 many Americans have paid off their home, have had it paid off for a few decades, and have many thousands of tax free dollars gained in appreciation/ equity. Our Veterans sacrifice more than their lives. The next time you sell your home, stop and consider the VA offer and how you can show appreciation to them for their service. Thank God for America, Thank God for the men and women who desire to serve our country, Our country is great because of them. Thank you veterans, for all you do!
