Did you know that when you pay off a collection, you can ask the creditor to remove the account from your credit report? This is called a “pay for delete” agreement. While not all creditors will agree, it’s worth the ask!

By negotiating for account removal you can potentially improve your credit score faster. Remember to get the agreement in writing! A little effort can go along way in boosting your credit health.
