Medicare 101
Medicare is a federal health insurance for anyone age 65 and older, and some people under 65 with certain disabilities or conditions.

Original Medicare consist of Part A and Part B.
Part A (Hospital Insurance): covers inpatient hospital visits - when a person stays overnight in a hospital. (Part A also covers skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care.)

Part B (Medical Insurance): covers outpatient medical services which include common health-related services like doctor’s visits and preventative care.
