If you’re thinking about getting a real Christmas tree, here are some helpful hints.

Thinking of buying a real Christmas tree this year? Make sure it won't become a fire hazard by following these fire safety tips:

🎄 Cut the bottom 1" of the tree off to ensure the tree will absorb water.
🎄 Water the tree DAILY. A dry tree burns easily!
🎄 Only use UL-approved Christmas lights that do not get hot. Plug them in properly - do not overload extension cords or outlets.
🎄 Keep candles and other heat sources away from the tree.
🎄 Keep pets that might chew or gnaw on light cords away from the tree.

Please be patient and kind to your insurance agent and their staff as they navigate rate increases with you.
Please don’t yell at them and their staff while they try to explain and help you. We empathize with you. We wish rates weren’t rising. They are rising for us as well on our own personal policies so we understand. Agents don’t set rates however a good agent will help you through them and exhaust all options they can for you. They are regulated by Texas department of insurance and unfortunately with cost of labor and material at historic highs, insurance had to take an increase in Texas. All carriers are increasing rates, so it's a matter of finding the carrier and agent that is right for you. We are all experiencing the same struggles with the increase cost of everything down to the eggs at the grocery store. If agents had a magic button to bring your prices down I assure you they would press it all day everyday.
We are here for you to advise and explain things to you so be kind. It goes a long way.
