🇵🇭 Kabayan, Medicare check-up naman tayo!

We get our annual physical.
We check our teeth.
We change the oil sa koche.
Pero kailan mo huling pina-check ang Medicare coverage mo?

Just because your plan worked well for you this year doesn’t automatically mean it will still be the best fit next year.

Baka nagbago ang prescription medications mo.
Baka may bagong doctor or specialist ka.
Baka nagbago ang copays, drug costs, or benefits ng plan mo.
And when that ANOC (Annual Notice of Change) arrives please huwag itapon!

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is October 15–December 7, and this is your opportunity to review your coverage and see what makes sense for the coming year.

And remember: reviewing your options does NOT mean you have to change your plan. Sometimes the best answer is, Okay ka na. Stay where you are. 👍

There are plenty of brokers out there who are quick to enroll you, sign you up for a plan but there are a few who continue to service their clients after the fact. Like they ghost 👻 👀 (who wants to be ghosted by their broker?)

Why is that? Many people don’t want go the extra mile nowadays. Even a simple thank you and have a good day is rare at the drive through windows after you get your burger and fries 🍟 lol 😂

The ones who love what they do will treat what they do as their ministry and display selfless service and yes I will promote myself because many of my clients hear from me not only during the enrollment process but even after. I forge a relationship. I listen to what they have to say and I show them that I CARE.

When you love what you do, going the extra mile is a no brainer. It is part of your process and it becomes second nature.

I want my clients to be treated the way I treat my parents. ♥️

Mga Kababayan, Medicare Annual Election Period is coming

October 15 – December 7, 2026ang Medicare Annual Election Period para sa 2027 coverage and sana, huwag nating gawin yung: ‘Okay naman plan ko last year, so okay pa rin siguro’.😅
Hindi kasi palaging ganun. Every year, puwedeng magbago ang Medicare Advantage at Part D plans premiums, copays, prescription coverage, benefits, doctors, pharmacies, at provider networks. Kaya bago mag-decide na same plan na lang ako, magandang i-review muna natin.

Nasa network pa ba ang doctors mo?
Covered pa rin ba ang medications mo?
May nagbago ba sa copays at benefits?
May ibang option ba na mas bagay sa needs mo for 2027?
Naiintindihan mo ba talaga kung ano ang coverage mo?

Tandaan: Hindi porke may bagong plan na maraming benefits, ibig sabihin mas maganda na iyon para SA IYO. Ang magandang Medicare plan ay yung bagay sa doctors mo, medications mo, healthcare needs mo, budget mo, at lifestyle mo.

And jan ako maaring makatulong. I can sit down with you, review your current coverage, explain your options in Tagalog, English, or Taglish, and help you understand the differences.

Walang bayad ang serbisyo ko. And more importantly, hindi lang ako nandito during enrollment season nandito ako throughout the year kapag may Medicare questions ka.

🚨 OPEN ENROLLMENT 2027 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS, FOLLOWERS, & STALKERS 🚨

Health Insurance Open Enrollment is coming.

Which means very soon, my inbox will begin its annual migration from: Hey girl! Long time no see!
to: quick question

And as an insurance broker, I already know that quick question is rarely quick. And that is A OK👌🏽 😂

So before the festivities begin, please remember:

Open Enrollment is the magical time of year when perfectly responsible adults suddenly realize:

😳 Wait! my premium is HOW MUCH next year?

😳 What do you mean my doctor isn’t in the network?

😳 Why is my deductible the size of a Honda Civic?

😳 Can I just keep the same plan?

😳 My cousin said there’s a plan for $12. Is that true?

And my personal favorite:

Please do not wait until the final hours of Open Enrollment to suddenly develop an interest in health insurance.

We have MONTHS.

📌 Gather your information.
📌 Review your medications.
📌 Check your doctors.
📌 Look at your renewal notice.
📌 And please for the love of all things deductible do not automatically renew a plan you haven't reviewed. 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

Because insurance companies are perfectly capable of changing premiums, networks and benefits without personally calling you to say heads up. ❤️

They will send you a 37-page document in 8-point font and consider their work complete.

And then there’s me. Reading it. Because this is the career path I chose. 🥰

I am still up because I am working with a group that dropped their PEO to revamp their Group Health Insurance. President said, I will be available for the next 45 minutes, so send the papers that need signatures. WAAA.
Today was one of those group health insurance days. 😅
Back and forth with the employer. Back and forth with the underwriter. Missing documents. Signatures. Corrections. Underwriter questions. More documents. More Adobe Signature requests. OMG.
Then you think everything is finally completeeee and breathe..TADA.... We just need one more thing. WAH. 😂
So you go back again, get what they need, send it over, follow up, answer another question, and keep pushing it forward.
Group health insurance can definitely test your patience. FOR REAL!!!! There is SO much happening behind the scenes that clients never see.
But today, after all the emails, phone calls, paperwork, and follow-ups, I had one of those moments where I thought: This is why I do it. Because all that paperwork represents a business owner trying to take care of their employees and employees who now have health coverage for themselves and their families.
It may not be the glamorous side of insurance, but getting a group across the finish line after all that work? It feels good. I am grateful for being able to do this.❤️
