In 2024, I returned to the firm in Custer, S.D., bringing with me a unique blend of professional experiences. During my time away, I helped manage my family’s farm and ranch, worked rodeo events nationwide as a western sports announcer, and served as a consultant and meat trader in the protein industry. These chapters strengthened my connection to the industries and people I’m honored to serve today. 🛠️ Sometimes the best playground equipment is created by the children themselves.

Our students worked together to transform a simple wooden plank into a slide! They experimented, problem-solved, tested ideas, and collaborated to create something they were excited to use.

Open-ended materials like these encourage creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence. Rather than being told exactly how to play, children become the designers, builders, and explorers of their own learning.

A handful of Custer Rotary Club members, including Michelle Fischer, John Carson and Greg Giese were on hand at Custer Senior Center last Monday to prepare meals for the Custer YMCA Backpack program.
Through this program children in the community are assured a free lunch every day. Club members met twice to make the meals, making nearly 200 in the process.
