This week, I want to feature an incredible local spot I recently discovered! Meet Manu, the owner of Tijon Atlanta. Manu and his family are local members of the community, and were excited to open the business earlier this year.

Tijon fragrance lab is conveniently located at the Cu***ng City Center. When I walked in, I was simply blown away! The space was incredibly beautiful and welcoming. It is the perfect spot for a girls night, date night, or team building event.

Manu and his team will help you design a one of a kind perfume or cologne to compliment your unique body chemistry, walking you through the process every step of the way. They even offer a few different beverages to enjoy while you’re at it. As an added bonus, if you're hosting an event elsewhere, they can even bring the experience to you!

Staying protected during hurricane Isaias!

As hurricane Isaias moves inland across Georgia this weekend, I wanted to share some tips to help you stay safe and informed!

Even though Isaias made landfall along the Gulf Coast, systems this size can have an impact across the state.

Wind gusts from 40-60 mph are expected, especially in the north GA mountains. Make sure to bring in any patio furniture, and take down or secure any holiday decorations, trampolines, or anything that could become a projectile down the street and into your neighbors’ home!

With the combination of ground saturation and high winds, there’s also a chance of widespread power outages. Remember to charge your phones and devices now, and have any medications and supplies you may need on hand.

There is also the chance for flash flooding. Low lying areas, creek beds, and areas with poor drainage can flood quickly. You may not always be able to tell how deep standing water is, so remember: turn around, don’t drown!

On the insurance side of things, here are a few additional tips to help in the event of a loss.

- Go ahead and take before photos and videos today. If you do have a loss, this can make the claims process much smoother. Having a time stamped record of your pre-loss conditions and belongings is always a good idea!

- If a fallen branch or tree limb hits your home- take immediate steps to cover/tarp the area as soon as it’s safe and prevent further damage. If you are looking for a reputable roofer to help with emergency tarping and evaluation, I recommend reaching out to Seth Pickens with Valor Roofing. He is a trusted and reliable roofing professional.

- Any damage to your vehicle caused by fallen limbs or storm damage is covered under the comprehensive portion of your auto insurance- not your home policy. Make sure you know your auto coverage limits and deductibles.

- Remember that rising groundwater is NOT covered under a standard home policy- this requires a separate Flood Insurance policy.

Most Importantly- STAY SAFE! If you experience immediate danger or a life-threatening emergency, call 911. Stay safe, stay inside, and don't hesitate to reach out to me our office once the storm passes if you need assistance filing a claim or have any questions.

Every Saturday through the month of October, you can take your child to Stars and Strikes (Cu***ng Location) in their sports Jersey or uniform, and get a completely free hour of arcade time!

Yes, you read that right! 1 hour of unlimited arcade games completely free. We went today and had a blast!

It was also very easy to redeem. We simply went to the desk where you would redeem tickets in the arcade, showed the screenshot of the promotion, and were given out cards.
