Today marks my 10 year anniversary with The Fountain Insurance Agencies. I remember leaving my prior agency and being terrified of failing, and missing the wonderful crew I worked with. Change is scary! It took me about a year of second guessing, but finally got my footing and thrived here the last decade. I’ve accomplished more than I ever thought possible, and am really, really proud of the career I’ve built. There have been a lot of 60+ hour work weeks, a lot of after hour appointments in my dining room, wrestling meets, other countries, car hoods, storage sheds, and even used a cow as a table to sign an application once. This agency has given me the freedom to earn a living and build my book in a way that works for me, so thank you to my boss, Heather Martin, for letting me just go out and do my thing, and letting me volunteer and support the community that supports me! And heartfelt gratitude to Margie Mitchell who has been my rock since day 1 here, holding down the office so I could bring in business. I couldn’t have made 10 years without her! I’m really, really proud of what I’ve accomplished the last 10 years. Especially earning my CIC designation in 18 months ( it often takes 5 years) I look forward to the next 30 years( Covid taught me I’m never retiring). Most of all, thank you to my clients who I love to serve, a big smooch to those of you who followed me from my prior agency, (Lynette, I think you’re now my longest serving client), the underwriters and marketing reps who deal with my “ aggressive” sales approach( aka- I’m mean sometimes) family who has to excuse me from dinner over a windshield claim, my friends who have our beach music interrupted when my clients call on vacation, my service reps now and through the last 10 years who are vital to my success, and especially to The Late Great, Gary Ludwig, who believed in me, and helped me pick the right agency when it was time to fly from his.
