Meet Veronica- a chingona Mayan woman from Copan Ruinas, Honduras Central America. During the 2020 pandemic with Zero tourism and flash floods hitting their crops, Iset & Unnefer were able to buy jewelry, cacao shaped pottery incense burners, pottery candle holders, and pottery mugs- all in their traditional Mayan style. That sale helped their family get closer to economic well being.

It was a hot one this week! 🥵☀️ so I stayed hydrated with my electolytes. Went to the post office to mail the bubble wrap to Veronica, the Ch’orti Mayan artisan in Honduras, so they can use this to safely ship their completed clay pieces from Honduras to us here in the U.S. 🇭🇳📿✈️🇺🇸

Along the way, I made multiple trips to the post office to get material and dimensions right for customs so our package of bubble wrap to Honduras.

Each employee in a different stop would curiously ask: “why are you shipping bubble wrap all the way to Honduras international mail?” And each time I got to share the story of how my husband and I are mailing this to the Mayan Artisans so that they can mail necklaces, braces and earrings to us that were purchased by our customers on our e-commerce site at . That brought a smile to their face and quite a few head nods—they thought that was cool and unique and they looked happy to be a part of getting this done. One said “alright then! This is a good thing being done for them-it’s gonna make a difference. Let’s get this package entered and shipped off.”

It was pretty cool to have each person that shared in making this possible for the Mayan artisans feel Good to see this happening in the world, and also as employees at the post office and UPS, to be a part of making this reality and helping us accomplish our goals.

“My scalp has felt good! I usually have some build up but haven’t had any since my first treatment!! [4 weeks ago] I’m gonna ask my friend I gave one treatment to if she’s used it yet and if so, how she liked it!! “ testimonial from our Vampire Boss client.

This client has a very fussy scalp! It tends to be over oily, so she washes her hair frequently and on the day after cleansing, she has to add a dry shampoo to deal with the the oiliness of her scalp. She noticed her hair gets over dried because she’s shampooing frequently to help her remove natural oils from her scalp.

We’re going to order more necklaces, bracelets, and earrings from the Mayan community that I got these from last time. (I lost my necklace 2 years ago, but the final photo shows me wearing one of their necklaces we bought during the 2020 Pandemic.-Iset)
