We are so excited to share a first look at what’s coming to the newly developed Heflin Wellness Community Complex!

This Whole Child–focused play environment has been thoughtfully designed to encourage play, movement, inclusion, fitness, connection, and nature for children, adults, and families throughout the community.

Even more exciting, the site has been approved as a National Demonstration Site showcasing best practices from FOUR nationally recognized initiatives:

Play On!® — promoting physical activity through play

7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design® — creating inclusive play opportunities for children of varying abilities

Outdoor Adult Fitness Parks® — bringing fitness and wellness opportunities to adults

NatureGrounds® — incorporating nature into the play environment

A Beautiful New Playground for Randolph Elementary School!

We’re excited to share this fantastic new playground at Randolph Elementary School in Randolph, Alabama!

Designed to keep kids moving, climbing, exploring, and having fun, this playground features swings, climbers, and slides galore! There’s something around every corner to encourage active play and create plenty of opportunities for fun with friends.

Congratulations to Cleburne County Elementary School in Heflin, AL, on becoming a Play On! National Demonstration Site!

This playground was intentionally designed using the evidence-based Play On! design principles to encourage children to move, explore, and develop lifelong healthy habits. The program incorporates six key elements of play—balancing, brachiating, climbing, spinning, sliding, and swinging to help children achieve higher levels of physical activity while having fun.

The results speak for themselves:

• 91% of teachers reported increased playground use.
• 100% of students said they had fun participating.
• 90% of teachers plan to continue using the program.
• 25% of parents reported more family physical activity after the program was introduced.

We're proud to have designed a playground that not only provides a place to play, but also supports healthier, more active children through research-based best practices.

Who says playgrounds are just for elementary school?

Middle schoolers still love to climb, swing, move, hang out with friends, and just have fun—and the right playground equipment gives them a great place to do exactly that!

We love seeing Centreville Middle School recognize that play doesn’t have an age limit. Creating outdoor spaces for older students encourages movement, social connection, and a much-needed break from the classroom.

April is Autism Awareness Month 🧩🌈

A playground built in memory of a student who brought so much joy to Randolph Elementary.

We're honored that Randolph Elementary trusted us to work with them on the Lucas Allen McMillan playground project.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to officially open the playground and dedicate it to one of their beloved former students.

This special place will carry his name and his joy forward. It will be a space where children play freely, friendships grow, and memories are made.
