"I'm extremely happy right now! LegalShield just saved my elderly parents' home and many long-term future headaches and stress. The past few weeks, my 95-year-old dad has been going through the process of doing a reverse mortgage on his home with a home equity company here in Toronto, Ontario. Our Provider Law Firm referred my dad to local attorney here in London to have the docs reviewed so he could understand the breakdown of policies and interest. I went with my dad on two separate appointments and everything appeared to be completely legitimate according to our lawyer. The way it would work is when my dad passes, my mom would not have to pay back anything until she sold the house no matter when. Earlier today, the final paperwork was sent to the lawyer so my parents could go in and sign, and I went with them again. When we got there, our lawyer advised them to NOT sign anything because the home equity company changed the policy so it didn't match the orginal agreement. The new agreement basically said that when my dad passes, my mom would have to sell in 6 months (and go through the stress of finding a new place to live). Our lawyer made a call to the company right in front of us to tell them that it was unacceptable and that they would have to change the terms back to the original agreement. All this work by the attorney cost my parents $0. Without LegalShield, my parents would not have used an attorney, and would have been on the hook if they'd signed those documents."
