Warning long post:) It will be 20 years in August since I decided to get my Health and Life Insurance license. My what a ride it has been!
Due to changes made by our government in 2010 with the Affordable Care Act - I "leaned into" Medicare and the insurance options available to eligible folks.
There are a lot of great agents that truly care about educating folks, doing a full needs analysis, getting to know them and ensuring that they know clearly the choices that they have. HOWEVER, there are some agents who are more motivated by what product pays them the most commission for them- many times at the cost of their clients. To this day, I have clients say that they didn't know anything "about that". And sadly sometimes, they were enrolled in a plan that truly is not serving them. Sometimes they have lost the opportunity to make a change. Education and timing are important!!
The last year and a half have brought some unexpected changes and some hardship, no doubt. I am so very grateful for the friends, family and clients who have cheered me on and stood beside me. Hopefully you know who you are!
I have rebounded and truly thrilled to be "on my own" and to continue to educate, guide and strategize timing and plan choices with Medicare eligible people. I am licensed and contracted with most carriers that offer Medicare supplement (Medigap) plans and Medicare Advantage Plans.
The Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare which happens every year October 15-December 7th is rapidly approaching. I have been studying, testing and getting recertified with many of the insurance carriers AGAIN as it is an annual process:0
I would be honored to help you, a friend or loved one when you first become Medicare eligible, want to compare plans, have questions or during the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period.
Thanks again for the encouragement, love and support that many of you have shown over the years.
With gratitude, Laurie
