ShyAnn’s Hope is first and foremost about building relationships and offering encouragement. We do not operate under a blanket covering of restrictions; therefore, we can discern the situation to better serve our families. We see a need and do what we can to fulfill that need such as groceries for the working poor who do not qualify for any state funding, car insurance and new tags, car repairs or
parts, clothing, expenses for beginning a new job, school supplies, youth activities, appliance breakdowns, Christmas gifts, etc. Sometimes we take a mom to lunch to get to know her and offer encouragement, extending to her dignity and value. If we can’t help and need to partner with another resource, we are The Voice in Action. Further, we walk alongside women who are trying to escape domestic violence. This is a complex and difficult process, and we never want to see a women stay in an abusive situation for lack of funds to become free and independent.
